The Tomb of Ligeia (1964) features Vincent Price and Elizabeth Shepherd. A widower living in a remote abbey becomes involved with a spirited young woman, but the memory of his deceased wife continues to dominate his life. Strange events suggest that the past may not be willing to release him. Vincent Price stars in Roger Corman’s Gothic adaptation inspired by Edgar Allan Poe. The story uses an isolated estate and uncertain supernatural forces to explore obsession and grief.
