This Technicolor fantasy adventure follows young Abu and the displaced prince Ahmad through a world of enchantment, treachery, and daring escapes. Sabu plays Abu, John Justin portrays Ahmad, and Conrad Veidt appears as the scheming Jaffar, with June Duprez as the princess. Produced by Alexander Korda, the film draws inspiration from tales associated with One Thousand and One Nights. Its magical encounters, sweeping adventure, and elaborate fantasy storytelling helped make it a celebrated example of classic screen spectacle.
