The Story of Mankind (1957) features Ronald Colman and Vincent Price. Humanity’s future is put on trial before a celestial court, with a defender and a prosecutor presenting episodes from world history as evidence. Famous figures and turning points become part of a debate over human progress. Ronald Colman and Vincent Price lead this ambitious historical fantasy. Its sweeping structure moves across eras to ask whether civilization’s achievements outweigh its failures.
