Robert Siodmak's Criss Cross (1949) stars Burt Lancaster as an armored-car driver who becomes entangled in a robbery plot after rekindling his relationship with a former wife played by Yvonne De Carlo. A dangerous criminal, played by Dan Duryea, complicates their plans. The film noir unfolds through obsession, betrayal, and a fatalistic scheme in which personal desire overwhelms good judgment.
