Impasse (1969) features Burt Reynolds and Anne Francis. A former soldier arrives in the Philippines seeking gold hidden during World War II, only to find that other people are pursuing the same secret. Old loyalties, violence and shifting alliances complicate the treasure hunt. Burt Reynolds stars in this adventure thriller, which turns the wartime legacy of hidden valuables into a present-day struggle over trust and survival. The Philippine setting provides a distinctive backdrop for the suspense.
