In House of Wax (1953), Vincent Price stars as a wax sculptor whose fascination with lifelike figures takes a terrifying turn. Directed by André De Toth, the film follows sinister events surrounding a wax museum and its increasingly disturbing exhibits. Frank Lovejoy and Phyllis Kirk also appear in this Warner Bros. horror thriller. Notable for its pioneering use of stereoscopic 3-D in a major-studio production, House of Wax combines macabre suspense with an unusual exhibition history. The film helped establish Price's lasting association with atmospheric, character-driven horror cinema.
