Edward Scissorhands (1990) features Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder. An unfinished artificial young man with scissors for hands is welcomed into a colorful suburban neighborhood by a kindly saleswoman. His unusual talents fascinate the residents, but curiosity soon gives way to suspicion and fear. Tim Burton directs this modern fairy tale, with Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder leading the cast. The film blends Gothic romance, gentle humor and a poignant story about belonging.
