D-Day the Sixth of June (1956) features Robert Taylor and Richard Todd. Two Allied officers preparing for the Normandy invasion find their private lives entangled with memories of the same woman. As the landing approaches, romantic uncertainty gives way to wartime duty. The drama combines a love triangle with the tension of a major military operation. The impending invasion gives ordinary romantic decisions a sense of urgency and uncertainty.
